Moon

This is a nurbs sphere with a file texture I got off of the internet. Just playing with lighting and textures. Project took maybe 1 hour to tweak and render again...and again....and again....make that an hour and a half.

hey man, not bad, not bad. my only major beef is with your lighting. the big thing with lighting a moon is nailing that horizon where it suddenly goes from light to dark. check out these reference snaps to see what i mean:

you may also want to try a displacement map rather than a bump map to get some differentiation from the sphere edge.
